Savills today announced the appointment of leading market specialist, Greg Condon as Head of Hotel Valuations for South East Asia.
Based in Bangkok, Condon will be responsible for developing, leading and coordinating hotel valuation services across the Savills regional platform.
An industry veteran of almost 20 years, Condon brings with him a wealth of global experience having worked extensively throughout South East Asia, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Condon re-joins Savills from Knight Frank in Thailand where he has been the Director of Hotel Valuations for the past 5 years. During this time, he provided valuation advice to a variety of clients in the local Thailand market, as well as several key regional markets including Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.
Prior to his arrival in Thailand, Condon was a senior valuation surveyor with BNP Paribas Real Estate based in London for 8 years and has also previously held positions with both Savills and Knight Frank in Melbourne.
Robert Collins, CEO of Savills Thailand said, “Greg is an exceptional hire for Savills, and further enhances the breadth of services offered by our rapidly growing Thailand office”. “Greg brings with him a unique balance of international and local market experience, which is well suited to both our domestic and foreign clients alike” added Collins.
“The hotel market in South East Asia is an exciting sector at the moment, but not one that is easily navigated” said Martin Fidden, Regional Director of Valuation & Advisory at Savills Asia. “We recognise the value in providing a designated sector specialist to our Clients, and are delighted to have someone of Greg’s calibre in this role”, added Fidden.
“Visitor arrivals continue to increase rapidly, and tourism is now a priority sector for the ASEAN Economic Community”, said Christopher Marriott, CEO of Savills South East Asia. “Greg’s appointment is both timely and tactical as we position our regional business for the continued growth of the SEA hotels market”, added Marriott.
