Strategically situated next to the Elizabeth line at Acton Main Line station, The Aster is well served by public transport and is connected by seven other stations bearing Acton’s name, boasting access into central London within 10 minutes, Heathrow in 18 minutes and Canary Wharf in just 23 minutes.
Key amenities
At 22 storeys, The Aster offers expansive views of the capital and direct access to the podium garden. In total, over a third of the six-acre development is landscaped green space, with a series of courtyard gardens, woodland pockets and an eco-walk, all designed in partnership with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. There are also communal allotments, where residents will be encouraged and supported in growing fruit and vegetables for their own consumption.
The building also features a gym and a cycle hub powered by Peloton. Other amenities in the building include a dedicated 24-hour concierge, business lounge, screening room, and multi-purpose entertainment space, as well as a car club scheme with three years free membership and bicycle storage.
Designed by award winning architects and master planners, Chapman Taylor, the designers behind MediaCity Manchester, the Ashford Designer Outlet Extension and Heathrow Terminal 5, The Verdean is an attractive brick-fronted collection of buildings.
Each apartment will be finished to the highest of standards. The kitchens offer light marble surfaces, Bosch appliances, and a classic contrasting palette with white wall cabinets and smoked wood-effect base units. With rooms enjoying floor-to-ceiling windows, each apartment will be engulfed with natural light, bringing in the outdoors. There will be a mix of herringbone and marble-effect porcelain tiles in the bathrooms, oak-effect flooring throughout living spaces and soft luxurious carpets in the bedrooms. Each apartment has a considered layout, designed for modern living.
Regeneration Masterplan of Acton
As part of a long-standing partnership between Mount Anvil and the Peabody Group, The Verdean is creating over 1,000 new homes in total, alongside a number of community assets, including a supermarket, commercial space and cafes, as well as an outdoor gym, running track, basketball court, and climbing wall. Mount Anvil and Peabody have also partnered on Three Waters, Chelsea Botanica and One Clapham Junction.
The Verdean sits on the fringes of the £26 billion regeneration masterplan of Acton and is one of the capital’s largest regeneration projects. It includes High Speed 2’s only London interchange with Crossrail, along with new schools, a new high street, public realm and the creation of 65,000 new jobs. There will also be two new campuses for Imperial College’s scientific and innovation hubs.
Lisa Crush, Sales Director at the Peabody Group, adds: “We are proud to continue our partnership with Mount Anvil on the regeneration of The Verdean. Catalyst, a subsidiary of the Peabody Group, has been involved in the community for more than 30 years, and this is an important moment in its transformation – a much needed, quality redevelopment that benefits our existing and new customers, whilst maximising the site’s potential with new homes, outdoor space and commerce.”
Jacqueline Wong, Executive Director, Residential Service at Savills Singapore says: “Following the sell-out success of phase 1 at The Verdean (The Oak), we are anticipating overwhelming response for The Aster, marking the start of the second phase. With the convenience of the Elizabeth line now in operation and at your doorstep, connectivity into central London is enhanced and amplified with Bond Street station as a new addition to the line. International investors as well as homeowners who have a keen eye for value will identify The Aster as an astute investment.”
The Oak was the first release at The Verdean in 2020, with Mount Anvil successfully selling all 160 homes within three weeks.
Nick Vaughan, Head of Greater London Residential Development at Savills says: “The Verdean is one of the most exciting projects in west London combining unrivalled transport links, innovative design and an abundance of green spaces. The second phase of the project also brings the already successful collaboration of Mount Anvil, Catalyst and Kew Gardens to this part of London, which, combined with the developments’ existing attributes, makes it a unique proposition. We expect this new phase of the development to have huge appeal to a wide range of purchasers looking for the West London lifestyle with great transport connections across the capital.”
